Copy an image from a graphics program to a toolbar button or menu command
For a clear image, copy a graphic that is the same size as a built-in button image or a menu command image. The default button image is 16 by 16 pixels. A larger image may be distorted because it will be scaled to fit the size of the button.
- In the graphics program, copy to the Clipboard the graphic you want to appear on the toolbar button or menu command.
If you can select the format for the copied graphic, select bitmap (.bmp) format.
- Switch to Microsoft Access.
- On the View menu, point to Toolbars, and then click Customize.
- Show the toolbar, menu bar, or shortcut menu with the button image or menu command you want to change.
- With the Customize dialog box open, do one of the following:
- To paste the copied image to a toolbar button, right-click (on the toolbar) the button that contains the image you want to change, and then click Paste Button Image on the shortcut menu.
- To paste the copied image to a menu command, click the menu on the menu bar or toolbar, or click the shortcut menu that contains the command you want to paste the image onto. Right-click the menu command, and then click Paste Button Image on the shortcut menu.
Note If you change the image for a command on a built-in menu (for example, the Edit menu), the new image appears in all views showing that menu with that command.
