Help on Global Data Connection Tab

You can use these options to set up how your query tests are executed with your connection file.

Use this To do this
Connection string Specify the data source name (DSN) used to connect to the database.
Type and Version Select the database management system, such as Microsoft® SQL Server™, and its version number with which the database was created.
Vocabulary Specify that values are loaded from the database. (You must be connected to the ODBC data source.) Select this option when the query you want to test depends on these values and you want to see answers to your test questions. (Also see Execute SQL option.) Deselect this option for faster load time.
Words per field Specify a limit to the number of words to be added to the dictionary from each field. Select a lower number to decrease load time.
Sample data Specify that Microsoft English Query always attempts to connect to the data source and load sample data values, even if the database connection is not specified.
Time-out Specify a period of time, in seconds, that the Test tool should keep trying to execute the query against the database.
Maximum rows Specify a maximum number of rows to fetch from the database during the test. Limiting the search gives faster test results.
