Specify Global Properties for the Application

You can specify properties that are applicable to the entire Microsoft English Query application, rather than to particular database or semantic objects. These properties include indicating that the system should show the current year’s data by default. For example, “What did John buy?” would be interpreted as “What did John buy this year?” Other properties include fiscal year settings, spell checking, and so on.

  1. On the English Query Edit menu, click Global Properties.
  2. Select options on the various tabs, and click OK.
